This edition of the IPPR’s Green Hydrogen Monitor focuses on “Communities, People at the Centre: What should benefit-sharing look like in a just transition?” Featuring perspectives from civil society, industry and government, it explores how Namibia can ensure that green hydrogen and related developments deliver meaningful, lasting benefits for local communities. Key issues include community participation, environmental accountability, equitable benefit-sharing and skills development. The central question is whether Namibia’s green transition will improve the lives of those most directly affected by it.
