Gender Responsive Budgeting is being practised by an increasing number of countries around the world. Gender-Responsive Budgeting describes an approach to budgeting that takes note of the different impacts policies have on men and women, assesses these demographics’ needs, and tries to allocate funding accordingly.
This paper explains gender budgeting, looks at efforts in Namibia to date, and suggests improvements going forward.
