Monica Koep is consultant on democracy and governance issues in southern Africa specialising in the rule of law, electoral reform and civic participation. She was previously a senior advisor to the Director General of the National Planning Commission and a senior advisor on democracy and governance at the US Agency for International Development. She holds a M.Phil in Values and Policy Studies from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
