An opinion article published in The Namibian newspaper in which two Scandinavian academics – Johanna Söderström of Uppsala University and Lise Rakner of Bergen University – discuss the need for Namibians to interrogate the tax system and how it works. The article is based on the preliminary, findings of a forthcoming study: The Everyday Practice of Paying Taxes in sub-Saharan Africa. The research in Namibia was conducted with the help of the IPPR. The reports from this project will be finalised in 2020 and made available via the IPPR’s website.
